The Gothenburg container terminal, the largest in all the Nordic countries, has experienced problems since APM Terminals (APMT) obtained the concession. Repeated crisis' have led to a dramatic drop in market shares, from 57% of the Swedish container market to 45% in just a few years.
Gathered in Miami, Florida (USA) on SEPTEMBER 27-29, 2016, IDC members present at the 7th General Assembly have agreed unanimously to adopt the following motions and pledges it's full support in terms of the ongoing conflicts summarized below.

A member of the Fédération Nationale des Ports et Docks (FNPD - National Ports and Docks Federation) which belongs to the powerful French Confédération Générale du Travail (CGT - General Confederation of Labor); he is also the European Zone Coordinator of the International Dockworkers Council (IDC).
